About Us

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About the Site (But Were Afraid to Ask)

What’s a dry day?

A day when liquor shops and/or bars are closed. The rules vary from state to state.

How reliable is the information on this site?

As reliable as the information put out by the powers that be.
Scheduled dry days? Spot-on. (Mostly.)
Election-related dry days? Ehh… 50-50.
Randomly-announced dry days? Hardly ever.

What guarantees do you give?

None whatsoever. We aren’t responsible for ruined evenings, or much else.

Is this site official?

Far from it. The info here is gathered from a number of sources, official and unofficial.

How does the site make money?

It doesn’t. If you’d like to change that, tip the bartender.

What does this site run on?

Built with Zola, it’s a bit of a Rube Goldberg machine involving Cloudflare, Github, Tally, and Netlify. And minimal Javascript for third-party bits.
